Overview
Excellent opportunity for a bright and ambitious Analyst with a mixture of real estate knowledge and great numerical skills to join a well-established privately held property investment and development company with assets focused in London and the South. This dynamic and forward-thinking propco, operating across all main commercial real estate asset is seeking an experienced and motivated Property Analyst with strong Excel modelling abilities and an excellent understanding of, and enthusiasm for, commercial real estate. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Property Analyst will have a broad role with the opportunity to take on significant responsibility and play a key role in the team. RESPONSIBILITIES: Collating due diligence on prospective acquisitions Obtaining investment and occupational market data for all sectors, maintaining an up-to-date database of information Undertaking in depth market analysis to identify target geographies and sectors for acquisition Producing monthly reports for the Property Director & Executive committee Speaking to local occupational agents to obtain accurate and current market information Liaising with the finance team to provide accurate financial analysis of property and portfolio returns and performance by way of KPIs Producing/updating the portfolio analysis monthly, ensuring that information on average weighting by location, sector, lease length, covenant strength, floor area, value is up to date and accurate Producing cashflow in line with company strategy Producing and maintaining the portfolio asset reviews and summary Collating and ensuring consistent format and complete information for monthly Capital Committee meetings, Board meetings and Exec committee meetings. Working closely with MD to identify, monitor and carefully plan access to future areas of investment and development opportunity IDEAL CANDIDATE 3-4 years' experience in real estate investment Excellent skills using Excel Good understanding of commercial property Highly motivated Confident and keen to take on responsibility Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong attention to detail with good writing skills Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines The ability to work as part of a team The ability to prioritise work-load.
