Overview
A global leader within the oil & gas field is looking to add x2 Category Managers to their established procurement team on an initial 4 month fixed term contract basis . The role is a strategic procurement role whereby you will manage high value contracts across direct & indirect spend areas , as well as high value , low volume procurement of critical components. Ensure short and long term value through formulation and implementation of category sourcing strategies to achieve the business objectives and/or the lowest Total Cost of Ownership. You will also foster strong relationship with Category Managers to support delivery of best value to the business. Generate transparency and overview on spend and savings potential within category, supplier landscape, supplier performance and current trends Manage stakeholder relationships to drive effective customer relations Liaise with business to develop and confirm category demand plans Be responsible for the development and implementation of the sourcing, negotiation and contracting strategies for relevant categories Prepare for and lead complex supplier negotiations Manage and govern execution of sourcing processes within the category Foster supplier relationship management to create short and long term value for UK business and the Group Work with Category Managers to ensure UK demand is included in the category strategies and that spend and strategy are appropriately leveraged where possible. Criteria Expereince as a category manager/senior buyer within a large organsaition Manged large contracts & spend portfolios Knowledge of NEC contracts desirable but not essential
