DevOps Engineer / Platform Engineer

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a DevOps Engineer for a 6 month contract based in Swindon. Purpose of the Role: Working on a Cloud migration project. We are looking for x2 DevOps / Platform engineers who come from a technical development background (Not Sys admin background). Someone who can code in at least one of: Java, groovy, Python, Ruby, Golang As a DevOps / Platform Engineer you will be responsible for: You will be part of the Digital/Cloud teams which are merging. They key goal is to transition to the new cloud platform. Day to day activities- developing new platform, implementing new features, migrating to new platform, supporting old platform What we require from the candidate: Development of Infrastructure as Code (and can code in one of: Terraform, Java, groovy, Python, Ruby, Golang) Experience building AWS or Azure Platform infrastructure from scratch Experience of transition from one cloud platform / tech stack to another would be useful in particular i.e. AWS to Azure would be good Working in containerised environments with Openshift and Kubernetes IR35 Status: This role has been assessed as inside of IR35.
