Overview
Our client are a long established, family owned, freight transport company, based in the Heathrow area. They provide a range of freight transport services, across the U.K. to a varied range of world leading customers. Investment in our fleet, the use of technology, our training academy and our continual learning, helps us to provide logistics solutions to our customers. We are currently looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join our Team. The position Day to day planning of vehicles Assigning appropriate vehicle and trained driver to task Arranging time critical shipments Creating and providing customer quotations Interaction with customers Management of GDP practice Managing Quality Management System Working with the sales team Interaction with customers and drivers Work well under pressure and handle issues as they arise Knowledge on invoicing Understanding of vehicle maintenance Preferred Qualifications Driving licence Fork lift truck License Scissor lift license Level CO & COS qualified Fire & Safety certificate Manual handling certificate First Aid qualified Hours off Work - Shift patterns Week 1 (07:30 - 16:00) Mon - Fri Week 2 (09:30 - 19:30) Mon - Fri Week 3 (11:00 - 19:30 ) Mon - Fri with being ‘on call’ Through the week and over the weekend Week 4 Once ‘on call’ week has been completed you would be back onto Week 1 shift
