We are recruiting for a Staff Nurse within our Surgical Ward to be based at the prestigious Bupa Cromwell Hospital in Kensington, London. This hospital receives both UK and international patients and is committed to providing the highest quality healthcare for patients. Responsibilities: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for the care they deliver. Provide high quality physical and psychological care with compassion and confidently and safely communicate patients care needs. Monitor and manage the nursing allocation for your team as well as support flexibility with off-duty in order to maintain a well sourced clinical area. Recognise the needs for DOL's assessments, mental capacity assessment and 'simple' and 'complex' safeguarding referrals and highlight any concerns Liaise with the Support Services to ensure all non-clinical needs are met including the cultural, sexual, religious, and any other special needs of the patients. Focus on ensuring the provision of high-quality evidence-based nursing care in a clinical setting. Deputise for the Senior Staff Nurse in their absence. Participate in clinical audit as required by the Sister / Charge Nurse. The successful candidate: First level registration. Must have a current ILS certificate or be prepared to undertake the course within the first 3 months. Previous experience in a Staff Nurse role. Venepuncture competent and wound care competent. Knowledge of NMC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice. Strong communication skills, written and verbal presentation skills and report writing. Honest, open-minded and treats people with dignity and respect. Highly energetic, proactive and motivated to deliver high standards of nursing care.
