About the Opportunity…. We’re looking for a Leadership Development Manager to help our talented managers and future leaders develop their skills and knowledge. As Leadership Development Manager your passion should lie within helping managers learn and grow into efficient leaders as well as been confident in your ability to be able to structure programmes and academies to help build a resilient talent pipeline for Poundland, Dealz and PEP&CO. Reporting to the L & D Manager, you will work collaboratively with a team of L&D experts and be hands on. It goes without saying you will be self-driven with a high degree of ownership and have strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and planning/project management skills. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a demonstrated capacity to balance speed and quality. What you’ll be doing… The leadership Development Manager will design and deliver will have a strong bias to coaching you will ideally have previous experience as a manager which allows you to understand first- hand the difficulties of managing teams and leading high-performance teams. What you’ll need… Scope and design an inspirational, interactive, content rich leadership programme. Develop and own the Management and Leadership programmes by managing the cohorts of leaders throughout the 12-18-month leadership programme, under: Leading self, leading a team and leading the business. Conduct and interpret skills gap analysis with learners to accurately identify learner's starting points, prior achievements and experience. Assessing various leadership models and theories making a recommendation on which to use. Aligning leadership training to enable the delivery of our business strategy and company values. Consistently evaluating training and development materials to ensure they are as up to date and relevant. Creation a development programme for future talent. Collaboratively and flexibly across the whole range of leadership development activity as required, while taking on wider responsibilities within the combined Leadership, Careers paths and Talent programmes. Implementing and responding to evaluation data to inform continuous improvement. Create tools and materials to support leadership programme to embed learning in between classroom sessions to embed and enhance learning. Support the design and implementation of an organisational Leadership Principles into all management tools. Explore and recommend approaches to developing 360-degree feedback. Work in partnership with various stakeholders within the business included, Head of departments, senior managers and HR Business Partners among many others. Provide coaching and mentoring sessions for leaders in support of all learning and development programmes. Foster a culture of long-term learning and development across the organisation Work collaboratively with the other members of the team: there is a lot of room for defining your own remit within the team.
