Overview

The successful IBA Technician (12-month FTC/Maternity Cover) will be working with the Credit Control Team Leader and will be responsible for the preparation and reconciliation of all Premium Bank Accounts and Bordereaux. This role has accountability for ensuring information is accurate and produced in a timely and efficient manner. This position will initially be a 12-month fixed term contract, but might be taken permanent for the right candidate. As an IBA Technician you will be responsible for: The collection and management of outstanding debt as per agreed procedures; Balancing cashbooks for Premium Bank Accounts; Rendering any statements in a timely fashion; Allocating receipts and payments posted, investigate differences and liaise with the Technical team and Brokers; Enuring payment requests are prepared accurately and efficiently; Reviewing bank reconciliations on a daily basis and dealing with queries; Maintaining and monitoring the Insurers log on a regular basis; Production of month end Bordereau for review and submission to carriers; Working closely with the Technical divisions to perform Credit Control functions; Ensuring outstanding accounts are chased where necessary by email and telephone for UK and overseas clients in line with Company procedures; The management and reporting of aged creditors and unallocated cash; The preparation of the Monthly Premium Paid Bordereaux; The agreement and settlement of the Bordereaux; including investigating queries and amendments with the Technical teams; Providing other general finance support as and when required; Ensuring that Nexus Brand and code of conduct is adhered to at all times both within the workplace or at other external events; Adhering to Nexus policies; Referring any matter beyond the level of an individual’s experience or authority to their line manager; Completing a minimum of 15 hours of continuous professional development annually. To be considered for the IBA Technician (Maternity Cover) position you are/have: Ideally educated to A’Level standard or equivalent, with a minimum 2 A’Levels in Maths or a similar field Experience of using all Microsoft Office packages Advanced knowledge of Excel, including ability to use and create VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables Independent and capable of timely decision making Able to organise self, plan workload and meet deadlines Results-orientated Approachable and able to interact with different levels of people and management Knowledge of the Financial Services sector Ideally experience of working in MGA or similar environment Proven track record in an IBA or similar role Privacy Policy: By submitting your CV you confirm that you are agreeing to the Privacy Policy of Nexus Underwriting and consenting to Nexus Underwriting processing and holding your personal details.
