Programme Coordinator / Central London / Initial Three-month contract Your new company The municipal governing body for the city of London is looking to recruit a Programme Coordinator to enhance London Local Authority resilience through effective programme coordination of identified projects associated with the delivery of the Local Authorities' Panel Business Plan, ensuring they are delivered effectively and efficiently meeting the expectations of the Local Authorities' Panel. Your new role The Programme Coordinator will be responsible for; Support and coordinate the overarching programme management approach applied to all projects in the Local Authorities' Panel Business Plan. Coordinate the development and management of work packages, project plans and schedules based on the project requirements and deliverables. Develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with all London Local Authority Emergency Planning Team members. Undertake routine reviews of projects, and then identify and recommend the most appropriate means of delivery. Support Project Leads in the production of checkpoint reports ensuring risks and issues associated with all identified work-streams are recognised. Monitor and track expenditure with budget approval. Maintain a register of projects which require routine review to ensure a quality and improvement philosophy. Schedule and organise meetings and workshops including the production of agendas and minutes. Support the production of briefings and reports to key stakeholders. What you'll need to succeed My client is looking for the following skills and experience; Good knowledge of programme and development procedures. Good knowledge of budgeting, bookkeeping and reporting. Good level of understanding of local and central government, public utilities and voluntary organisations in relation to contingency and integrated emergency planning roles and responsibilities. High level of understanding of the key issues and challenges associated with effective programme management. Effectively coordinating projects and/or small programmes within a discreet subject area ensuring delivery of desired outcomes and in budget. Developing project or small programme briefs to support the development of recommendations on the means of delivering the required outcomes. Working with a diverse range of stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams to maintain strong working relationships. Developing and delivery of robust monitoring and reporting systems for projects and programmes. Writing technical reports which convey complex information, recommendations and advice for senior management. What you'll get in return This is a full time initial three-month contract role with the possibility for extension. The role is offering competitive rates from £200/day - £300/day rate.
