Overview

A growing local business is excited to be expanding and looking to recruit a 2 Customer Service Advisors to join their busy team in Hitchin. Following several years of double-digit growth and an internal promotion, this is a great time to join an established local business. The purpose of the role is to assist with the management of customer services for the business and process website orders via our stock management systems. Key Responsibilities : Answer incoming phone calls in a timely and professional manner, responding and resolving any actions as necessary Answer customer service enquiries via a ticketing system or directly via email Take customer orders over the phone Dealing with customer queries and processing customer refunds Liaise with couriers with regards to returns and exchanges Process orders via a stock management system, by identifying what orders need to go out and liaise with warehouse and marketing team to keep a steady flow of orders being handled. Keep order records up to date ensuring full company visibility Process purchase orders Be the initial representative for customers who collect orders from the office Assist with other ad-hoc requests from the wider teams when they arise including marketing, finance and operations Maintain a professional, efficient and friendly service to customers to deliver leading customer service Essential Skills & Experience : Excellent written and verbal communication skills Fluent in German, French or Italian or Spanish an advantage but not essential Excellent listening skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and executing an ongoing plan Computer literate and knowledge of CRM systems Be friendly, tactful, polite and professional at all times Positive proactive and quick-thinking attitude Problem-solving skills Must work well independently and as part of a team This role offers a unique and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to help shape the business at a critical point in its growth, playing a vital role within a small team and across multiple departments.
