Planning & Customer Service Manager Social Housing Repairs & Maintenance Hitchin Based - £35-£45k Here at Howells Solutions we are working with a leading Social Housing contractor to recruit a proactive and experienced Service Manager to join their centralised planning centre in Hitchin. This is a full time, permanent role, ideal for somebody who is looking to develop their career with a market leading contractor. As the Service Manager, you will manage a team of Service Planners and Customer Service Advisors responsible for planning works on a number of Social Housing Repairs and Maintenance contracts. Ideally, we are looking for somebody to manage the Gas and Electrical contracts therefore knowledge/experience of compliance works including gas repairs, servicing, installs and Electrical fixed wire testing and rewire works would be advantageous, however not essential. Key Criteria: Previous experience planning social housing repairs and maintenance Experience managing a planning function for a mobile workforce, ideally within the Social Housing / Facilities Management sector although all sector backgrounds will be considered Strong people management skills Advanced IT Skills including planning softwares Ability to lead, influence and direct a team Ability to build and nurture strong working relationships with colleagues based at other sites/offices Please note, some travel may be required according to business needs to facilitate meetings with the operations teams delivering the works on site. This travel will not frequent, however it is a nationwide business so travel accross England is possible, therefore a company car/ car allowance will be provided.
