Overview
This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA) to join this innovative and international market leading manufacturing business. The newly created role of a Divisional Accountant will involve setting up the management accounts for one of the Group's overseas entities. The whole Group turnover is in excess of £180m within a niche manufacturing sector. This is a superb platform to grow and progress your skills into a higher level position - we are looking for an ambitious and driven individual. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will be accountable for the timely and accurate reporting including consolidated monthly management accounts, balance sheet, variance analysis, cash flow management and the management of foreign exchange accounting (FX). A key part of this role will be to identify and implement effective process and communication with the overseas office in your designated region. It may initially involve some overseas travel although the majority of the role will be based at Head Office. As the Divisional Accountant, you will also be responsible for keeping up to date with accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 15) and ensuring compliance across the group. Experience required for the Qualified Accountant: Newly qualified accountant with exposure to International Accounting, or Qualified CIMA / ACCA Accountant with Manufacturing experience You will be a pro-active with ambition and a 'can do’ character who thrives in an environment that is fast paced You would want to progress your career within a continually innovative and progressive business Your ability to produce timely and insightful management accounts is essential as is the ability to communicate results to a broad range of managers across the business. Prior experience of working within a manufacturing / engineering / FMCG business will be highly advantageous. Strong 'IT’ skills with Microsoft office and Accounting software is essential Travelling between local sites may be required therefore candidates must possess a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
