Overview
A great opportunity for a Buyer who has procurement experience looking to join a progressive business has become available with a leading business in Birmingham due to an internal promotion, always a lot happening within this business as they like to reward and progress people asap. Essential requirements are that you have had some procurement/buying experience where you have carried out pricing negotiations and submitted at least 1-2 tenders and are comfortable dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Buyer Salary circa £26,000 depending on experience The role is commutable from: Birmingham, Coventry, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Tamworth, central Birmingham The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the implementation of supplier agreements, some main duties include: Supporting the category manager and the team throughout the sourcing process Assisting with pricing negotiations and re-negotiation of contractual terms Assisting with bids and tenders Facilitating finalisation on contract documentation Internal & external stakeholder management To be considered for the role you will need some previous experience of working in a procurement role where you have had to submit tenders so are comfortable submitting RFQs, RFIs and can negotiate prices and/or contractual terms. This is NOT a purchasing position but more focused on following a set procurement process. Excellent organisational and communication skills are key for this position with a drive to build a career with a progressive business.
