The company: A build and maintain business that holds an excellent reputation are looking to hire a Junior Buyer to join their small team other buyers and estimators to accommodate organic growth. The role of Junior Buyer will entail: ·Be responsible for purchasing materials ·Analyse and place orders ·Checking of invoices ·Dealing with amendments to drawing re-issues ·Sending out the amendments to suppliers ·Ordering and pricing of variation orders ·Inputting of data onto sub-contractor spreadsheets ·Compiling information of historical costs ·Updating the price books ·Maintaining the company stock i.e. protective clothing & equipment ·Manage customer care queries ·Collate data in preparation for monthly/quarterly project meetings ·Manage and collate data for bulk quantities ·Scaffold purchases ·Updating the project graphs In order to be successful, you will in the Junior Buyer: ·Ideally have a sound knowledge of the construction market ·Have an eye for detail on numbers ·Be able to identify areas within the purchasing teams submissions to save on cost In return for the Junior Buyer you will receive: ·£24,000 - £26,000 ·25 Days plus bank holidays ·5% pension employee and 8% pension by the company ·Free parking ·Bonus scheme ·Medical Insurance after 6 month probation To apply for this position, or to find out about our other temporary and permanent vacancies at Niyaa People, please contact Rebecca Jones on 0121 790 0981 or apply online.
