Overview

You love development because you love solving problems. ALL THE PROBLEMS. Nothing makes you happier than talking to someone that has a problem that they can’t solve, and coming to their rescue with something elegant and impressive. You enjoy the company of smart people, collaborating with them and challenging each other to deliver the best solutions possible. You’ll code with the best of them, but you are really in your element when talking about ideas and solutions. And you dig great development practice, and building solutions for the future, not just for now. This company genuinely does things differently.People work there because they get to do things the right way, and they get to work with likeminded people; they set the bar very high, and only hire people who are either already experts in their field or are well on the way to getting there. The projects are almost always large and ambitious, and the flat internal structure means the culture is accountable and collaborative.Everyone contributes something (no middle managers to be found here). They have just set up a branch of their business in Birmingham; they have 12 people currently across development, BA, Delivery, etc. and now need someone to come in and set the tone for their planned new .Net team. It’s a consultancy, so there will be some travel (approx. 40/50% of your time), but mainly limited to the Midlands. You’ll go on customer site for usually a couple of days at a time along with your team mates. You have loads of development experience with C# and .Net (up to core) across the full stack, from SQL Server or MongoDB through C# to the front end using TypeScript and frameworks/ libraries like angular/ node/ react. You hopefully have worked with some other tech stacks in your time too, as this will only serve to add to the variety and creativity of solutions you offer to their customers. Naturally, you love best practice and things that facilitate adherence to it, such as TDD, Agile, CI/ CD, and know your way around a cloud of some sort, like AWS/ Azure/ GCP. You’ll be rewarded with a salary between £55 - £70k 5% pension potential bonus, healthcare. You’ll also have regular opportunities to develop your knowledge through formal training, workshops and conferences. Most importantly, you’ll be treated with respect, autonomy and given the right environment to do what you do best. If this sounds right up your street, get in touch and we can talk more about your next amazing role
