Overview
Due to the current situation regarding the coronavirus, the Royal Blind are keen to ensure we have the Care Staff we need to continue to provide high quality care to our residents within Jenny’s Well care home in Paisley. If you are interested in joining us on a temporary basis as a Care Assistant, then we would love to hear from you. Care Assistants will support the Registered Nurses to deliver a high standard of relationship centred care to older people with a vision impairment within a care home setting. The care provided will be personal outcome focused and promote dignity, privacy, independence and choice for the residents. Key requirements: Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). SVQ level 2, or willingness to work towards (with organisation’s support). Good organisational skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to organise time effectively, create work schedules and prioritise workloads. Understanding manner towards people. Due to the current situation some flexibility can be applied to registration requirements. Please note that hours are flexible and we can offer a variety of working patterns either on a short fixed term contract or casual basis where you would be contacted to cover shifts as and when required. Pay: Qualified with SVQ2 Unqualified £10.26 per hour £9.00 per hour £19,731 per annum FTE £17,316 per annum FTE Increasing to £9.30 from 1 April 2020 in line with Scottish Living Wage. The posts are subject to a PVG Scheme Record/Update check for regulated work with vulnerable adults.
