Overview

A newly created Senior Auditor role based in Glasgow offering between £35,000 - £40,000 Your new company Hays Senior Finance are partnered with an award winning Glasgow based organisation as as they recruit for an Senior Auditor. This role is part of a collaborative team environment with a friendly and open culture for the Senior Auditor to join and add value across financial audit processes. This is a permanent role based in Glasgow. Your new role The internal auditor will be responsible for the audit plan, executing audits and presenting findings. You will report to the head of internal audit, reporting findings from the interview process and obtaining detailed knowledge of the systems/procedures under review in order to provide an objective evaluation of and opinion on the overall adequacy and effectiveness of the framework of governance; risk management and control; in an economical, efficient and timely manner. This role will where multiple hats from risk assessment, internal controls management and governance. This role would suit an experienced auditor that enjoys investigating and analysing information whilst making informed recommendations to the business. What you'll need to succeed You will Draft and discuss with managers internal audit reports based on the findings and recommendations arising from audit work offering a consultative and value added and regulatory focused approach across the business. Additionally you will Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc reports, presenting to the Executive Team and supporting Audit Committee papers. This is a value added role where the Internal Auditor will actively contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of the Department including the carrying out of the department's annual assurance programme through the testing and evaluation of key controls. You will be a qualified accountant or hold IIA status with relevant internal audit experience. You will enjoy working across financial and non financial stakeholders with the ability to progress, priorities and communicate problems.
