Electrical Application Engineer - EV / Power / Distribution - £42k - £46k & car, 8% bonus, 28 day holiday, 7.5% pension, excellent development, flexible benefits, excellent career development, childcare vouchers & more - South East (Any location) Overview: Electrical Vehicles. The future. We are all aware that there will be a Diesel car ban from 2040, which means that Electrical Vehicles will be the main player by then. Whilst that all sounds great, how is this huge infrastructure chance going to happen? I'm, sure we have all seen the odd charge point at service stations and at department stores, but this will have to increase significantly. That's where you come in… We're looking for an electrical engineering expert to come in as the "technical brains" behind a range of new projects regarding EV charge points, a chance to move away from the tools. So assisting both your internal teams and customers to make sure all the technical knowledge is correct and true for the projects undertaken. The role: You will be using your expertise to provide support during projects - the technical brains behind these projects. Providing customers and sales teams with technical advice during pre-sales discussions and provide quick response to issues from customers after-sales, making sure everything goes "smoothly". So using your knowledge to look at how projects will drive forward, which substations used and how, making sure it is all done efficiently and safely. The person: This is for a strong electrical engineer who has knowledge in electric power generation, transmission, distribution, control, and automation. Protective relaying, power monitoring, and control application knowledge. Some design experiance would be great too. It represents an excellent opportunity to come off the tools and use your expertise to support and guide both internal teams and customers in the most emerging part of electrical engineering. Environment & Culture: We have placed people in this organisation at all levels and have seen constant improvements and progression to successful candidates. This is something that they are keen to do with yourself if you have the right attitude to develop, continually improve and take their manufacturing to the "next level" across the UK, Europe and the world with real investment coming in to any successful applicant. It is a culture where they are constantly looking to improve in every way they can to stay at the top of their market, always listening to their staff and taking their ideas on board. It will be a place where you can implement your experience gained over your successful career whist constantly gaining new skills and improving. What next? If this seems like an opportunity that appeals, send your CV through and I will be more than happy to go through this in more detail. Look forward to hearing your story…
