Procurement Manager Machynlleth 12 Months Maternity Cover £23,337.60 - £33,531.03 Part Time Job Purpose: Responsible for the procurement of goods and services required to meet customer demands of the department. Responsible for stock management and management of the department’s supplier base. Key Responsibilities:Manage the purchasing activities • Manage the departmental procurement needs ensuring that customer satisfaction is maintained, including high quality service levels, component quality and on time delivery • Continually reviewing processes and procedures to identify improvements which can be made to deliver benefits • Primary user of SAGE 200 for procurement and analysis • Working knowledge of international procurement processes, export and import compliance and INCOTERMS (2020) • Purchasing for international projects and services, compliant with procedures and other relevant standards • Managing lead time on products and packing to inform export manager for goods readiness Supplier Management • Negotiate with and continually review suppliers to ensure best value • Management and development of the supplier base ensuring quality of supply is continuously achieved • Responsible for developing and maintaining key commercial supplier relationships • Assessing and approving new suppliers and subcontractors within the International department • Conduct on-going and annual supplier reviews, monitor supplier performance and take action where necessary to improve poor performance • Record non-conformances where necessary Stock Control • Management of rolling stock to an annual value of approximately £2.5 million in all relevant storage locations • Ensuring goods received are recorded correctly in Sage and damages dealt with promptly • Responsible for quarterly stock takes and that accurate stock levels are recorded in Sage and are maintained, investigate any discrepancies • Occasional UK travel required Person Specificatio Essential Criteria Skills, experience & qualifications • • Highly numerate – A-level maths or equivalent experienceExperience in procurement • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience • Minimum of 2 years of experience of inventory control Team working • Good team player who is keen to make a difference • Able to work with all team members Communication – written & verbal • Excellent communicator, with ability to understand complex customer requirements • Excellent written and spoken English Management – including selfmotivation & time management • • • Able to assess workloads, prioritise and meet the deadlines imposed by client contracts Self-motivated, able to work autonomously and manage own time effectively Excellent organisational skills • High level of attention to detail • Ability to reconcile conflicting demands, delivering multiple projects to deadlines IT & Other • Excellent IT skills • Advanced user of spreadsheets Desirable Criteria Skills, experience & qualifications • • Ability to communicate in French An interest in development issues and understanding of the challenges in developing countries • Basic knowledge of systems and components as used in Solar International • Qualification in procurement • Experience with overseas suppliers • Project management experience IT & Other • Experience with Sage 200 and other databases as required Once you click to apply for this job your application will be immediately received by Travail Employment Group.
