Integrated Transport Consultancy job for a director to take over transport planning team, in London Your new company The company are an integrated transport consultancy who specialise in planning, analytics and engineering who work closely with clients from architects, planners, local authorities and developers. By design everything they do is carefully and diligently designed by their team of designers, engineers to create transport solutions that integrate with every aspect of the built environment today considering how the world move on bus, foot, train, plane or car. Some of their design work includes airports, Bus/coach Terminals, Commercial, Construction, Educational, Hotels, Master Planning, Public Realm and Residential with services including highways design, highway modelling, operational planning, transport impact assessment, transport policies and urban design. Your new role The company are seeking an associate with an extensive portfolio working on major developments, development planning, strategic planning, and policy work to become an addition to their central London team, to lead projects with a major part of the role contributing to work winning. You will be responsible for managing teams for the day to day management of a range of projects in the UK and nationally overseas which include development master plans, surface access solutions, transport strategies, development for individual sites, and major developments. Ideally the candidate will be focused on technical capability, delivery to programme and budget overseeing the project team. You will be responsible for bidding and for winning new work from a range of public and private sector clients, also for the development and training of junior staff. What you'll need to succeed You will possess an extensive portfolio of experience in transport planning within the fields of development, strategic and cities planning, including experience working with a multi-disciplinary team. You will have managed the technical and delivery aspects of projects related to development planning ranging in complexity and fee budgets dealing both with public sector and private sector clients. You will be proficient in report writing, data collection and data interpretation techniques with experience in local highway network analysis which include junction capacity design and assessments. You will hold a university degree in a relevant discipline, i.e. engineering, geography economics or mathematics also holding a chartered professional qualification or equivalent of a relevant institution (e.g. CEng, TPP, CIHT, ICE, CILT, TPS) What you'll get in return The company offer private healthcare, a flexible benefits fund, share scheme in addition to choices to compliment work life balance including flexible working start and finish or working from home.
