Overview

Job Title : Live in Support Worker - Male Location: Hackney, Greater London Salary : £550/week Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (The shifts are rostered as 2 weeks on 2 weeks off rota) The Care has worked with a number of organisations that have helped them have a positive impact on the disabled community. They offer a support service for adults with a learning disability and for other vulnerable adults in the community. They also offer a respite service that provides space and opportunities for both families and the Service User to spend constructive time apart. Job Purpose: Provide support and care to a gentleman who is living in his own home with all aspects of his individual everyday living needs including personal care, food and fluid intake and encouragement to promote and maintain his independence where possible. Key Responsibilities: Delivering Quality Care to Service Users To support Service Users in their home environment To develop and expand Service Users' practical life skills through facilitating, teaching and ensuring access to opportunities that will enable him / her to experience full, active and valued life in the community Responsibilities to the care To contribute to the development of the service by liaising with their Managers To observe the standards and to abide by their policies and procedures To comply with standards and their Code of Conduct To comply with the Health and Safety Policy To comply with their Equal Opportunities Policy To maintain the confidentiality of all information connected to Service Users, other members of staff and their Management To agree to work flexibly and be prepared to perform other duties commensurate with the role of a Support Worker To participate constructively and actively in staff supervisions, development of training and development plans and in annual appraisals To act as a team member, participating in team meetings and team development days Administrative Maintaining accurate records relating to work undertaken with Service Users.
