Role: Head of Care (Home) Location: Southampton, Hampshire Salary: £18.50 per hour Our client, a care home based in Southampton, is looking to recruit a Head of Care to join their existing team. Applicants must have the relevant experience and qualifications to be considered for this position. Key Tasks: Monitoring the resident’s nutritional and hydration needs Monitoring and supervising care staff who are delivering residents personal care needs. Championing Person Centred Care Championing dignity and respect of the residents at all times Monitoring and assess the moving and handling needs of the residents Liaise with families / answer queries regarding care needs . Monitoring paperwork is in place and updating it as required. Reviewing and updating care plans as necessary. Liaise with Manager in regards of personal care needs of the residents Monitoring documentation relating to the residents which has been written by the care team Administrating medication as prescribed, passing 3 monthly medication assessments Assist visiting members of the local multidisciplinary team such as doctors and district nurses Leading a team of care staff and ensuring that they deliver a high standard of care whilst maintaining the dignity of residents at all times Correctly document incidents, accidents and safeguarding issues within the home Inform the management team / person on call of any incidents / accidents depending on their severity Act in a professional manner at all times in appearance and behaviour This vacancy is being managed by Sean Berryman at Spear Recruitment Ltd.
