About the Role The Laundry Assistant is responsible for performing laundry functions in order to create a safe secure and inviting environment for our residents, families and team members while meeting and exceeding Signature quality standards. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Collect, clean and redistribute the home's laundry and residents' clothing. Sort washing, dry and iron linen and residents' clothing to a high standard at all times, adhering to the washing and ironing instructions on the garments. Fold, count and stack linen in an organised manner. Routinely inspect linen for wear and tear, and report this to the Housekeeping Manager/ Supervisor. Ensure that machinery and chemicals are handled according to risk assessments and COSHH. About you This is an important and valued role within the Company so we are looking for someone who is responsible, conscientious and enthusiastic. Required Skills and Experience: Good time management skills Organisational skills with a structured approach Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Ability to handle multiple priorities Able to work on own initiative as well as in a team Caring compassionate attitude Able to make responsible choices and decisions, and act in the residents' best interests Desire to work in care Previous experience in housekeeping desirable Able to work independently to complete the assigned tasks About our Benefits.
