Job Description
A High Net Worth principal based in Kensington, SW7 is looking for a Laundry/Clothing member of staff, otherwise known as a Valet join their team of staff. You should be looking for a long-term role. Package Offered Between £36,000 - £43,000 gross per year depending on experience. Family Background The principal is based in Central London and travels internationally relatively regularly for both business and pleasure. He is an ambitious gentleman with high expectations when it comes to service and expects his staff to have the same mentality. Duties You will be required to take care of the principle, his wardrobe, packing and unpacking for travel and day-to-day hands-on tasks. You should be experienced in the laundry, care of fine garments, and be exceptionally good at ironing. You will work closely with the principle's housekeeper, drivers, chef and PAs and will build functional relationships with both the principle and other members of staff. You will work incredibly closely with the housekeeper who has been with the principle for over 10 years and you should be happy to work in unison and divide tasks to avoid crossover. It is also incredibly important that you have a good understanding of menswear and wardrobe management. You should have excellent attention to detail and be effective in your communication. Your daily tasks will include working maintaining the principal's wardrobe and being the right-hand Valet of the principal. There will be travel with the principal, and you will be responsible of the packing and unpacking of appropriate clothes for his trips. Location The principal's home is in Kensington, SW7. This is a live-out role and you should be able to easily commute to the property. Days/Hours * Working 5 days a week, Monday-Friday. * 12 midday - 8pm each day (with flexibility around this). Languages An excellent level of English is required. If you speak any other languages (French or Spanish) this would be a bonus. Special Skills Total professionalism, wardrobe management and laundry skills and a high level of discretion and ability to work well with others.
