Overview
Our client is recruiting for a Service Configurator for their Shared Services , to administer and develop the third-party Shared Services platform used within their organisation. You will become the expert in all its functionality, you will look to standardise and grow the use of the platform within our organisation. Responsibilities: You will respond and action day-to-day issues and queries raised by our user base Monitor environments to ensure they are operating effectively in an optimal state Actively contribute to monitoring and alerting on our strategy and approach, using continuous improvement Requirements gathering (MOSCOW) Process simplification and alignment Functional and non-functional design creation Detailing pre and post configuration impact assessments Using agreed processes and procedures in all aspects of your role to deliver high levels of service Deploy configuration on demand, with an understanding of the build process Resolve operational and product problems effectively and you call them out as required to minimise the impact on users Update records at all stages of processes so our user base and your colleagues can view the latest information in real-time Platform standardisation and configuration deployment updates with minimal business impact and security / GDPR consideration Creating, managing and validating Explore and Insights queries and dashboards using defined data sets Creation of documentation including configuration build framework and user guides Workflow and automation configuration using best practice Assist with incident management, service requests and problem management using ITIL framework Create and implement technical and functional standards across systems and effectively communicate such standards to our support, deployment and central functions teams Establish and maintain sound configuration backup and recovery policies and procedures including DR and BC plans Manage changes through non - production environments to the production environment following change management with iterative version control and full documentation Technical Skills: JSON Java Script HTML CSS XML API Advanced Microsoft Excel Microsoft Visio N.B There may be a requirement for you to work "out of hours" during major projects and implementations. You should have a great work ethic, positive attitude, enthusiastic, excellent organisational skills and enjoys being part of a team. Attention to detail and good communication skills are essential.
