A great opportunity for a proven Purchase Ledger Clerk looking to take the next step in their career. As Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient day to day running of the purchase ledger function. Client Details A successful healthcare organisation based within Coventry. Due to company growth and an increase in business demand they are now looking to recruit a Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk on a permanent basis. Description Your responsibilities will include: Ensuring strong internal controls in respect of matching purchase orders and supplier invoices Ensuring monthly and periodic balance sheet reconciliations are undertaken and reviewed Ensuring a structured approach to supplier reconciliations Working closely with the Financial Accountants to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the nominal ledger Reviewing and challenging current processes and procedures and looking for continuous improvement Matching, batching and coding of invoices Assisting in bank reconciliations as and when required Liaising with suppliers & internal/external stakeholders Profile The successful candidate must have previous commercial knowledge and exposure to all aspects of purchase ledger. You must also be an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing in order to effectively resolve issues and build relationships. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical to this position, as are a strong work ethic and investigative approach.
