Role: Senior Endoscopy Nurse Location: Coventry, Warwickshire Salary: Circa £35,000 Working Pattern: Full Time - 37.5 hours weekly Are you an experienced Senior Registered Practitioner or equivalent in an endoscopy service? Team24 is working to recruit a skilled a Lead Endoscopy Practitioner to join a friendly department at a leading private hospital in the Coventry, Warwickshire area. This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours a week on a flexible rota. Salary circa £35,000, negotiable. About the role: We need an enthusiastic individual who is committed to the team in this dedicated endoscopy theatre set up. You will need at least two years endoscopy experience and using pain management techniques to for care for deteriorating patients. Endoscopy and decontamination qualifications are preferred. Your role will be to: * Provide quality planned care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures within own scope of practice. * To participate in the improvement in Essential Quality Requirements and Best Practice standards for flexible endoscopy services including decontamination and clinical care. * Participate in the departmental audit program including decontamination, clinical standards, microbiological testing, patient experience etc. * Work with others to deliver a quality, safe endoscopy service and efficient decontamination of flexible endoscopes. You will enjoy: * Flexible working hours to suit your individual lifestyle and to help create a good work/life balance * Career progression opportunities whether it be via the clinical or managerial route * Surgical specialism * Accredited training in clinical and non-clinical topics * Private Healthcare Scheme * Staff Pension Scheme * 25 days holiday per annum What we need from you * Previous experience as a Senior Registered Practitioner or equivalent in an endoscopy service. * Experience and training in pain management, care of the deteriorating patient, care of patient under conscious sedation requiring monitored recovery. * Experience of clinical governance and audit. * Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration. * Evidence of continuous professional development. * Post-registration qualification relevant to functional speciality * Approved /recognised Endoscopy or Decontamination course. ILS/ALS. * Experience and training in pain management, care of the deteriorating patient, care of patients under conscious sedation requiring monitored recovery. * Significant experience working in an acute hospital setting in a Senior Registered Nurse post or equivalent in an endoscopy service. * Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail. * Excellent organisation and multitasking skills required. * Ability to motivate a team of clinical professionals.
