Overview
This manufacturer of specialist packaging is currently seeking an Injection Moulding Technician to assist with the operating and maintaining of the Injection Moulding processes to safely deliver the highest quality products at the best efficiency and lowest scrap possible through the use of effective manufacturing methods. As Injection Moulding Technician your duties will include - Responsibility for components produced in Moulding and Assembly Carrying out tool changes Carry out quality testing to ensure the components are in spec and take appropriate actions including following non-conformance procedures Carrying out minor process changes to keep the products in spec including switching off non-conforming cavities and documenting the changes made Liaison with operators, ensuring that visual checks are completed in a timely and efficient manner Identifying Assembly issues and establish root cause to delegate responsibility to appropriate department To be successful in the role of Injection Moulding Setter, the ideal Candidate will - Have experience of working as a Setter or Technician within plastic injection moulding. Be able to confidently condition set machines. Have a strong trouble shooting background, being able to resolve moulding issues such as shorts, blistering, and flashing. Have experience of working with/supervising operators. On offer - A salary of up to £30k inclusive of shift allowance. Hours - Continental shifts - 2days, 2 nights, 4 off, 2nights, 2 days, 4 off.
