The Company This excellent opportunity with a Global Engineering and Technology business are thriving and looking for a Plant & Facilities Technician to continue their dedicated service to the Rail Industry. The company have secured a number of high profile orders to deliver and service brand new trains across the UK. The Ideal Candidate Being a proactive and driven Technician, ensuring the Plant Machinery and Facilities Equipment is running to its full potential, to ensure the Train Technicians have the ability to fulfil their role. Not only will you be technically minded, but you'll also enjoy carrying out landscape maintenance too, to give you a varied role. About the role The Maintenance Engineer will be tasked with inspecting and undertaking regular maintenance of the depot facilities including the onsite equipment, buildings and landscapes. You will be monitoring and scheduling preventative maintenance tasks, managing sub-contractors when required and ensuring that all safety policies are adhered to. This role is within a Safety Critical environment, so you would be required to pass a medical and Drug & Alcohol test. Monday to Friday, days only position. About you You’ll be from a Maintenance and Plant background, ensuring the machinery is available for use by the operators. You will also have experience of maintenance of Lighting, HVAC, UPS, Elevators etc. The Requirements Apprenticeship in a mechanical/electrical engineering discipline. Practical plant and facilities experience in a mechanical and/or electrical environment Broad range of fault finding experience including; lighting, UPS, HVAC, hot and cold water, pneumatic systems and elevators.
