Overview
Building the present, creating the future Description BAM Nuttall are part of the JV with Mott MacDonald recently awarded the 2nd Phase of Leeds Flood Alleviation Scheme, after successful completion of the 1st Phase. The scheme consists of a number of separate interventions to provide permanent flood defence solutions along a 7.5km stretch of the River Aire in Leeds. The Contract is ECC Option C, commenced in June 2019 and is due to complete in October 2022. Site offices will be located near Kirkstall Road (A65) in Armley, Leeds. Your key activities will include: Reporting to Commercial Lead or their delegate. Ensure compliance and adherence with project and company commercial procedures for procurement and subcontract management. Subcontract Procurement - produce subcontract enquiry documentation, issue tender enquiries, analyse tenders and compile subcontract order documents for execution. Management of subcontract accounts including assessment of monthly applications for payment, accurate site measures, assess compensation events in accordance with subcontract to ensure timely resolution, issue early warning notices, negotiate and agree final accounts. Comply with the commercial timetable with regard to subcontract liabilities, forecasting and subcontract payments. Regularly obtain, review and archive all site records relating to your subcontract packages / section of works including labour and plant allocations, site diaries, photographs and record sheets. Job Requirements Your qualifications, skills and experience should include: Formal relevant qualification - Degree; HNC/D. Experience of NEC form of Contract. Previous experience on civil engineering scheme. Experience of target price contracts advantageous. Collaborative attitude. Good communication skills. Good IT skills. What do we offer?
