Overview
Titan are pleased to be working with a hugely successful Freight Forwarding company based in the south side of Glasgow for a Business Development Manager to join their team. To support the continued growth of the branch, they have a requirement for an experienced BDM with a proven track record of knowledge and success within the freight industry to maximise sales and development for the business. Role responsibilities include – New accounts; sell full multi modal freight and logistics services (Air, Sea and Road Freight) Identify new prospects and attend prearranged client visits for new sales Secure in-person appointments on a daily basis Manage existing clients to maximise value from each account Present to potential new businesses Good IT, administrative and organisation skills Good communication skills You should have a strong sales / business development background with the freight industry , be confident with good relationship building skills and a strong desire for progression. The company offers a great working environment. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm with a basic salary of £40,000 plus generous commission and company car.
