Job Title: **Business Analyst** Location: **UK-GB-Glasgow** Job ID: **15073** **Role Purpose:** As a Business Analyst/Consultant, you will work as part of one of our Professional Services (PS) teams engaging directly with our clients to develop world class customer experience solutions using the company's portfolio of Customer Engagement Optimisation (CEO) products. Business Analyst/Consultants require limited support in order to carry out the following activities within the timescales and quality standards set by the project: + Lead solution scoping workshops with clients to gather business requirements and define business processes and explain how the company's CEO products meet those requirements. + Lead solution design workshops, defining solutions with clients and colleagues and producing documents that accurately capture details of the solution, including any business configuration. + Contribute to training materials and participate in training sessions + Create and execute test scripts as part of the project testing phase + Contribute to the Business Analyst Practice through the creation and sharing of knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices based on project experiences The extent of each of the activities listed above will depend on the nature of particular projects. Job Metrics (How will the role be measured): + Client satisfaction during and at completion of project + Quality of documentation and configuration work + Understanding of company products and solutions + Effectiveness of team work and communication + Input and support of the Business Analyst Practice. + Adherence to project plan and completion of tasks on time **Key Tasks:** Client satisfaction + Gain a thorough understanding of the client's objectives, culture, organizational structure, skills, experience, and processes in order define and implement change management within the client's environment + Truly understand the needs of the client + Ensure solution meets those needs within constraints of time, budget and resource + Build strong relationships with key client stakeholders + Identify and understand how clients will interface with applications in order to define the user experience + Identify client problems, gather supporting data, and recommend process improvements + Demonstrate solutions and educate clients on all features and functionality + Map client requirements to solution features and identify gaps + Work with the various departments within a client's team to achieve the aims of the project Quality of Documentation + Produce documents (Business Requirements Doc, Software Requirements Specification etc) that the team and client can easily understand + Develop workshop materials; lead and facilitate design workshops + Develop training materials; participate in or lead client training sessions + The creation of documents that comprehensively cover the nature of the solution (accurately in line with the project/programme scope) + Produce specifications for business and technical audiences + Liaise with technical architects to ensure solution meets client requirements but with due consideration of any potential performance issues + Produce documentation that follow company/product standards and review the output of other team members to maintain quality Quality of Configuration Work + Where appropriate instruct and carry out configuration work for the full product set that meets client requirements and passes system and user acceptance testing + Specify and execute Unit Tests, System Tests and Performance Unit Tests of software configurations + Follow best practice guidelines for the configuration of company products to ensure high quality delivery Understanding of Company Products + Understand how products fit into the overall Customer Engagement Optimisation strategy + Keep up to date with new product developments + Explain clearly to clients the capabilities of all products Effectiveness of team work and communication + Proactively communicate within internal team adapting style to accommodate technical and non-technical colleagues + Communicate effectively with the client in workshop and ad hoc scenarios accommodating varying degrees of seniority + Proactively inform Project Lead, Technical Architect and other Business Analysts/Consultants on the team of any risks or issues related to the solution + Work flexibly to suit project needs and deadlines + Proactively communicate with your Project Lead to ensure the assignments are being done at the right time, in the right order, and ensure that you are working on the highest priority item Adherence to Plan + Understand and work within scope boundaries to meet client requirements + Adhere to project plan and deliver tasks on time with timely updates (progress/dependencies/blockers) to project lead + Identify deviations from scope.
