IT Support Specialist – Managed Services About the Role: Our client is seeking an energetic, and enthusiastic new member to join their Managed IT Services technical support team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a technical team that deliver incredible support services to some major brands. Ideal Skills: Provide technical IT support via email and phone calls through the IT service desk tools Communicate in a clear and effective manner with absolute professionalism, care and courtesy Reliability is vital, ensuring consistency in your work You must be passionate about interacting with technology and helping people fix problems with a creative and troubleshooting mindset Strong team player, able to work with colleagues, share knowledge and be ready to seek help when required as well as support colleagues who may need help. You must have a strong interest in IT and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of PCs, operating systems, desktops, applications and troubleshooting skills (either in a professional capacity, or as a hobby / personal use) Written and verbal skills are essential as this role requires liaising with customers over the phone and via email on a regular basis Must be highly customer focused and happy to get involved on project work as and when required. Exposure to ITSM products and service desk tools Any IT related education and be comfortable in creating documentation and or documenting solutions in the service desk tools Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Office 365, AD, Exchange, Spam filtering etc, permissions and requests. Virtualisation skills – VMware / Hyper-V Citrix Xen Server / Citrix Xen App Storage technologies NAS/ SAN Office 365 management and setup P2V and workload migration VoIP telephony systems MCSE MCSA or equivalent work experience Active Directory Backup design and deployment Strong server and desktop skills RMM tools / Kaseya / Avast AVG / Autotask Location: This role is based out of their Slough offices (SL2 5DU) and is a few minutes’ walk from Slough train station.
