About the company My client, a fine food retailer with premises near Wembley are starting 2020 off by expanding their accounts team. The Partner of the business who leads a team of 5 in the Finance department is looking for an additional Accounts Assistant to join their modern and vibrant team. They are looking for a hard worker with good Excel skills and knowledge of Sage 50. Study support will be on offer as well for the right candidate. What you will be doing Reporting into the Partner you will be working on: - Processing and raising invoices - Preparing high value payments runs - Allocating monies received (BACS/Cheques/Cash) - Building professional relations with suppliers and clients - Resolving daily supplier and client queries - Supporting the month end procedure - Assisting with VAT Returns, Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss Statements Essential skills/experience - 2 years’ experience across both sales and purchase ledger - Sage 50 accountancy system experience - Preparing payment runs - Professionalism, integrity and excellent communication skills - A proactive attitude to ensure tasks are completed - Managing multiple supplier/client accounts - Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables & V-Lookups) Desirable skills/experience - Currently studying AAT/ACCA/CIMA - Experience in a building or services industry accounts role - Knowledge of Macros on Excel Benefits and perks - 09:30 start each morning - Excellent location with transport links - Regular company socials Accounts Assistant - Retail Food Location: Wembley, North London £26,000 - £28,000 salary plus excellent benefits
