An excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Finance Assistant has become available to join a Finance team in one of the most wonderful charities. Job Purpose: - To provide financial administration support to the finance team - This role is responsible for the sales ledger, working alongside the Business Partnering Officer - To be the credit controller for the organisation, ensuring debt collection is regular and effective - To assist with purchase invoice processing - To manage Gift Aid processing Tasks & Responsibilities: - To perform credit control duties extracting reports, building relationships with debtors and collecting cash due in a timely manner. - Ensure all sales invoices are correctly processed in the finance systems and reconciled to the CRM - Ensure all other income such as donations and income from online portals are recorded in the finance systems and reconciled - Produce aged debtor’s list and take action to collect all overdue accounts, informing relevant staff of outstanding amounts where appropriate - Reconcile all transactions on bank statements to the nominal ledger bank account - Work with internal departments to resolve unidentified receipts - To process receipts (including upload of bank receipts into sales ledger and CRM) - To work with the fundraising team and assess data that is required to claim gift aid from HMRC at regular intervals (quarterly) - To assist with processing purchase ledger invoices, file invoices in the system already established and prepare supplier payment runs. - To, as required, perform any other financial administrative duties for the finance team. - To comply with all policies and standard practice, with specific attention to diversity and equality. - To take on any other reasonable tasks which contribute to achievement of the job purpose and aims.
