Job Title : Coatings & Polymers Testing Manager Job Type: Permanent Hours : 40 per week Job Location : Manchester As a Coatings & Polymers Testing Manager, you will be responsible for leading the business from a technical perspective relating to coatings & polymers material testing. The job will involve carrying out tasks to ensure continuous improvement in the operating efficiencies of the coatings testing business operations, as well as focusing on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business where appropriate. As a Coatings & Polymers Testing Manager, you’ll receive a salary of between £30,000 - £45,000, depending on experience, plus you’ll benefit from a retail discount scheme, a contributory pension scheme and life cover. YOUR PROFILE Skills / Experience: Essential • A strong background in materials testing, with focus on coatings & polymers • Understanding of business requirements in a fast paced and changing environment and responding to deadlines • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Excellent technical report writing • Ability to motivate and influence positive outcomes • Ability to organise people and workloads and able to prioritise tasks • Excellent attitude to timekeeping and attendance record • Presenting and formal communication at any level • Critical understanding of customer service excellence • Experience with ISO 17025 accreditation • Extensive understanding and experience of coatings analysis • Extensive experience in failure analysis • Experience, understanding and practical application of materials testing standards • Experience in working with SEM / EDS (Scanning Electron Microscopy / Energy Dispersive analysis) Desirable • O&G, OEM, Marine & Shipping markets related knowledge • Familiarity with polymer analysis methods Qualifications: Essential • Graduate degree in related discipline (E.g.
