Overview
Paraplanning Manager Location: Torquay, Devon Salary: Highly Competitive Working as part of the team at an Appointed Representative of St. James’s Place Wealth Management Plc. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paraplanning Manager within a highly successful St. James’s Place Wealth Management Partner Practice. You will be running a small team of Paraplanners and Administrators based in their Torquay offices, ensuring the support provided both externally and internally is to the highest level. St. James’s Place Wealth Management plc (SJP) is a leading, and highly regarded, FTSE 100 UK Wealth Management company which distributes a range of Investment and Retirement products and financial solutions to a High Net Worth client base. SJP has Funds Under Management in excess of £116bn. The Role - Paraplanning Manager You will manage and lead a client focused, motivated team of support staff and implement and manage service standards within the team Using your thorough understanding of the sales process, suitability letter requirements, internal pre-approval process and the regulatory requirements imposed by the FCA, you will lead from the front and ensure these are also reflected in the team’s work You have the ability to think laterally, challenge current process, and find ways to improve the service You will assist in conducting research and producing client facing reports to facilitate advice opportunities This could include analysing clients’ existing planning and portfolios, undertaking calculations, producing strategy reports and more focused suitability reports You will develop good working relationships with product providers and provide timely and useful MI to various areas of the business, as well as participating in appropriate company and departmental training, competence and development initiatives. The Person - Paraplanning Manager This is an interesting and challenging role that would suit a confident, numerate, IT proficient and professional individual who enjoys using their initiative and who has a 'can do’ working style. You will have a proven track record as a Paraplanner within an IFA or Wealth Management business with broad technical experience and supervisory responsibilities You will have an engaging manner, with excellent people-skills, capable of leading a team and building relationships internally with the company’s Wealth Managers You will have the DipPFS Level 4 qualification Chartered Status would be advantageous.
