Paraplanning Team Leader Salary/Rate 45000 - 50000/annum 1st Class Benefits Package Location EC3M, Billingsgate, Greater London Posted 03/07/2019 (17:16) Agency Alliance Pictor Description Our client one of the UK's leading IFA firms are now seeking an experienced Level 4 qualified Paraplanning Manager/Team Leader Based in their London City office, you will be leading and developing a client focused and highly motivated team of Paraplanners. You will be providing regular updates to Partners and managing special projects, which will come into Centralised Paraplanning. Reporting to the Head of Private Client Services, you will be a Level 4 qualified, experienced Paraplanner, looking for the next stage in the development of your career. You will at the very least have worked for 12 months of coaching and mentoring others. Ideally, you will be an experienced manager - team leader able to effectively run a team of 8-9 heads. Essential Requirements * Level 4 qualified * Previous experience working as a strong Paraplanner within an advisory environment. * Excellent knowledge and experience of paraplanning pre and post-retirement scenarios (including pension transfers), investments, protection, and taxation. * Previous experience developing a team strategy and implementing changes. * Commitment to pass basic financial industry exam within 3 months of employment (internal exam). * Proven track record of balancing commercial needs with compliance requirements. * Experience of team management and/or mentoring, coaching of people including performance management. * Proven track record of having challenging conversations with Partners and being able to influence and develop relationships. Desirable * Level 6 qualified. * Experience of Intelligent Office (IO). * Experience of Selectapension and FE Analytics. * Knowledge and experience of more complicated advice such as, defined benefit pension transfers and inheritance tax planning. Main duties will include: Leading and developing a client focused motivated team of paraplanners. Writing recommendation and strategy reports in line with FD's restricted proposition (where appropriate). Providing regular updates to the Partner on their cases with the team. Dealing with Partners on a day to day basis and tasking in new cases to the team. Dealing with compliance on cases which require pre-approval. Managing projects which come into Centralised Paraplanning. Undertaking cash flow modelling. Work closely with Head of Private Client Services contributing ideas and best practice, to develop the team strategy and implement change. Other research tasks and project work where required. To participate in appropriate company and departmental training, competence and development initiatives. Seek to maintain knowledge of industry developments. In return, there is a negotiable basic salary of C50,000 + a first class large company benefits package together with the opportunity for further career progression.
