ABOUT US Communisis is in the business of marketing services. We optimise marketing activities by adding loads of value to customer and prospect communications, online and offline. We work with our customers on the planning, creation and delivery of their marketing communications. Your role Communisis provides customer communications services to a wide variety of businesses across multiple industries. Business analysis bridges the gap between the business customer and IT solutions providers. The BA represents both client and internal business stakeholders. Primarily focused on ensuring solutions satisfy the real business needs, the BA uses a number of tools and techniques to elicit, verify and track business requirements from concept through to implementation. With a good understanding of business systems and processing, the BA understands that business benefit is achieved when technical solutions support the business in more efficient business processing Your R esponsibilities Requirements Definition and Management Requirement elicitation and documentation through a variety of tools and techniques. Challenges and prioritises business requirements based on expected benefits. Management of requirements from concept and high-level business objectives into functional / non-functional and low-level requirements or business logic. Requirements tracking and traceability - ensures solutions satisfy the requirements by reviewing design documentation and challenges where appropriate. Stakeholder Management Identifies and engages project stakeholders and manages their expectations through written and verbal communications. Ability to understand, define and collate stakeholder needs and transform into outcomes. Can take opposing views to reach consensus. Understands how to work with stakeholders and contributes to improving these relationships. Is able to support and influence decision making through use of fact finding techniques and presentation of data / evidence. Tailoring stakeholder communication to the needs of the audience. Facilitating Workshops Excellent workshop facilitator - produces structured agendas and workshop objectives. Keeps attendees focused and discussions relevant and on-track. Ensures concise notes are captured and follows-up actions. Is capable of delivering workshops remotely through use of technology to a geographically disparate stakeholder group. Is able to produce appropriate visuals to support and facilitate the workshop and has strong presentation skills. Business Improvement Process Able to analyse current services and processes, and to identify and implement opportunities for optimisation. Evaluates and establishes process requirements using relevant techniques such as gap analysis. Recognises the potential for automation of processes, determining costs and benefits of new approaches and managing change or assisting implementation where needed. Can use a wide range of techniques to model situations confidently. Gains the necessary agreement needed from subject matter experts and stakeholders, ensuring they review and agree the result. User Acceptance Testing Able to review requirements, specifications and define test conditions. Able to identify issues and risks associated with work whilst being able to analyse and report test activities and results. Knowledge and experience Understands how the digital first initiative effects Communisis and is able to make informed decisions based on user needs, available technology and value for money by applying a digital understanding to their work. Can demonstrate good working knowledge of agile and waterfall methodologies. Has a good technical understanding and can relay business requirements to technology teams. Works autonomously and can demonstrate an understanding of managing a geographically disparate stakeholder group (UK and overseas). Has a good repertoire of BA tools and techniques e.g.: Business process notations and business activity modelling (can demonstrate a knowledge of pools, swimlanes, activities, sub-process, events etc) Undertaking feasibility studies, defining / evaluating solution options and making a recommendation. Knowledge of structured systems analysis. Influencing & negotiating. Workshop facilitation. Requirements engineering. Facilitating and coordinating UAT. Takes a ‘helicopter’ view of the business model and understands generic business functions. Building a business case and benefits realisation. Experiences of balancing multiple concurrent projects / work packages. Experience of Client on-boarding, business transformation programmes, systems migrations and continuous improvement initiatives. Is able to analyse and interpret complex data. Any previous experience is a Client facing role is highly desirable. Education and Qualifications Required: Higher-level education (college degree, A-Level) or equivalent in Business / Systems Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science or similar. Required: Business Analysis qualification – BCS/ISEB Diploma or Certification Required: Solid working knowledge of Business Information Systems and generic business functions.
