Job Title: Logistics Co-Ordinator Location: Gloucester Salary: Negotiable DOE Type: 6-month contract, with potential of extension My client, an award-winning manufacturer of bespoke products are currently recruiting for a Logistics and Sales Coordinator to join them on an ongoing contract basis. You will be responsible for managing the logistics and sales order entry function including all associated processes. Responsibilities: Sales order processing function for all areas of the business – Worldwide, including exports Creation of export documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing lists, Certificate of Origins. Liaising with the sales representatives and key merchants/distributors Resolving any issues – Transport; Incorrect product deliveries; Pricing etc. Creating and sending Order acknowledgements/Invoicing to customers Track order fulfilment to ensure orders are delivered on time and in full Advise both internal and external contacts of any stock issues that affect availability and delivery timescales. Take corrective action as appropriate / ensure action is carried out. Maintenance of customer price files – new pricing and products Arrange and book transport through approved carriers Record discrepancies of suppliers (Distribution/Carriers) to analyse performance (OTIF) Maintenance of EDI ordering system Administration tasks including: Serial number maintenance; Updating/creating process sheets for department contingency. Requirements: Ability to deal with routine and unexpected situations Set up and maintain administration systems and files Good level of education (minimum five GCSE passes or equivalent) Competent in all Microsoft Office programmes; Word, Excel/Outlook Experience or knowledge of exports/imports would be advantageous Ideally some experience with Sage Accounting system Evidence of a clear understanding of all aspects of customer services and able to demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement Able to listen carefully and assimilate information quickly. Able to ask clarifying questions and provide accurate information Able to remain calm in pressurised circumstances and able to deal with difficult situations Excellent communication/negotiation skills (face to face/telephone/written) Ability to prioritise work under pressure Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail
