Multi-Site General Manager - Novotel London Excel and Ibis London Excel An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Manager to lead the teams at the Novotel London Excel and the Ibis London Excel in a multi-site capacity. These two hotels, located in London’s Dockland’s neighbourhood, are in the London Excel business district and on the Waterfront. The Excel Exhibition Centre is a stones throw away - and the O2 arena, Canary Wharf and London City Airport are in close proximity of the properties. For the successful applicant, the role offers the chance to contribute to the successes of the two superbly positioned hotels in a competitive market while providing individual challenge and personal development. Employee benefit card offering discounted rates at Accor worldwide Personalised development plan Worldwide development opportunities across Accor’s extensive brand portfolio What you will be doing ?: You will manage the two busy hotels and take a hands on approach to all aspects and day to day operations of the business. At the initial outset, the role will involve managing the ibis Hotel with then will progress to both properties with a gradual and progressive handover of the Novotel. You will ensure that operational and guest experience standards are in place. You will work to ensure the financial success of the hotels, always looking to drive the business forward. You will achieve high quality standards measured through guest satisfaction. You will be fully responsible for the hotel talent both in terms of their wellbeing and in terms of ongoing development. Your experience and skills include: Applicants with ideally 5 years or more hotel operational management experience preferred. You should be able to illustrate previous successes in a comparable environment. Multi-faceted GM experience would be an advantage. You will have strong commercial and business acumen, and the tenacity to drive the Top Line to exceed targets, and to position the combo in the market place as the preferred choice in the area. You will be an effective communicator, who adheres to both legal/statutory responsibilities, and company policies and procedures, able to develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You must have strong leadership ability, with a hands on approach to operations, leading from the front.
