Job Description
Southern Housing Group are looking for an experienced Carpenter/Multi-Trader who will join an exciting and dynamic team, within a growing and forward thinking organisation. Working within our Southern Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for undertaking general maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with fire risk carpentry. Job Description Ideally you would be a qualified Carpenter/ Multi-trader with experience of undertaking general maintenance activities. Fire risk carpentry experience will be invaluable for this post. Your day to day responsibilities will involve visiting schemes and carrying out repairs in an effective and efficient manner. As a member of the maintenance team you will be required to create good rapport with all residents and colleagues with the minimal amount of inconvenience to the occupancy. You will be based out of our Bow River Village hub and providing support across the North patch in London. This role will be on a fixed term basis until September 2020 with a potential opportunity for a permanent position within the team. You will be professional, polite and courteous to instil confidence and have credibility with residents. It is imperative that the successful applicant has great communication skills. Any experience with fire risk assessment would be advantageous in your application for this post. It will be important to be aware of current safety guidelines and protocol.
