We are currently recruiting for a Materials Controller & Administrator to join our clients team. The Materials Controller & Administrator has an important role within the materials team and is responsible for the end to end administration of the manufacturing process. The Materials Controller & Administrator has an important role within the materials team and is responsible for the end to end administration of the manufacturing process. Description Administration & SAP Management of reporting of items to Central team alongside assisting with the expediting and control back to the supplier. Providing ad-hoc administration support to the Materials team when requested. Raising purchase orders for local consumables (Non-product) Goods Receiving consumable items via SAP and resolving any issues when required. Resolving invoice queries with local suppliers working with Accounts. Requesting quotes from local supplier as per requests from Material team. Health & Safety Adhere to health, safety environmental & quality practices in the workplace. Be the Materials team representative in the HSE meeting where site rules allow Feedback to the team regarding any HSE issues or suggestions where KPI Reporting Collate data for daily/weekly/monthly KPI's and report as required to management. Site Specific Work with line manager to deliver ad hoc site specific tasks on request Assist as required by line manager Profile Be able to Plan and Organise. Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to work on own initiative. Good team worker with proven administrative experience, time management and able to achieve results. Position holder must be able to interface effectively with all levels of personnel both within and outside the company. Sound knowledge of, and compliance to, rules and regulations. Able to represent Hitachi in a professional manner at all times. Be able to problem solve and a can do attitude. Essential Experience of working in a materials /stores environment. Experience in administration of warranty & repairs processes. Knowledge of SAP or similar databases. Intermediate IT skills - typically Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
