User Researcher - GDS Leeds 3 Months initially IR35: In scope Our client require a User Researcher to work within their agile scrum team to define, plan and conduct user research, with the goal of building the teams' empathy needed to create positive outcomes and experiences for users. You will: Facilitate the research performed by creating research plans, protocols and activities using qualitative and quantitative or mixed-method approaches. Analyse and synthesise research findings and translate these insights into user needs and opportunities. Communicate compelling user insights to the product owner and the product team Contribute research findings to enable evidence-based product and design decisions Champion the user to ensure that the product delivers user-centred outcomes while applying UX design principles to design and test prototypes. Required Skills: Experience of planning, scoping and conducting user research Analysing and communicating research throughout the product development lifecycle Experience of qualitative user research methods including; usability testing, ethnography, interviews, surveys, contextual inquiry and focus groups Experience of working with Designers, Product Owners, Developers and other Researchers to prioritise research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment Able to demonstrate the ability to translate research findings into specific prioritized recommendations to improve product designs.
