BWE1/526352 Multi-Skilled ENgineer (Plumbing) Cambridge Up to £30,500 Role Overview: My Client has an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with a Plumbing bias to join their team based in Cambridge. The main purpose of the job is to undertake plumbing reactive and other tasks. Key Responsibilities: Carry out plumbing reactive/additional works in our client's premises, educational, teaching, commercial, industrial and healthcare buildings Work on hot water systems, including economy 7, unvented and vented systems Minor and major reactive/repairs to systems i.e. will include unblocking toilets, repair or replacement TRV's, TMV's, leaking taps/showers and replacing immersion elements Assist and carry out weekly fire alarm testing Undertake all tasks issued by the Contract Supervisor, Services Manager and client Helpdesk and to work with, and provide information relating to technical matters, ordering and any issues To liaise with other staff and Sub-contractors as necessary to ensure the timely completion of works within agreed operational targets Carry out and complete all works to high quality standards and in a competent manner in accordance with Health and Safety Standards, Clients Policies and Procedures and with the property being left in a clean and tidy condition To accept, progress and complete accurately all works allocated via a portable electronic device and update all tasks in a timely manner Read and interpret engineering drawings and building plans Attend Tool-Box-Talks, training and meetings. Experience and Qualifications: Qualifications preferred certification/qualifications for unvented systems and a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing As well as working a core 42.5 hours rota the post holder will be required to participate in the out of hours call out rota To act at all times in accordance with the rules, policies, procedures and financial regulations Please note: Working hours will be based on a rotational shift pattern and will include weekend work and participation in an on-call rota Any job offer will be dependent on the successful applicant clearing an enhanced disclosure check.
