Overview
Role Description: Leading Leeds financial services company are now recruiting an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part qualified Financial Accountant to join their growing team. This role will report into the Finance Manager, and work closely with all departments of the company as an integral part of the business. This role will be varied and fast paced, it requires someone with excellent technical skills and ambition to learn and progress. It is a prime opportunity for you to enter the company, in a semi senior position and start adding value immediately. In this role you will be responsible for: Posting monthly costings, managing key accruals and you will also be supporting the group management accountants with the analysis and review of key movements in month relating to their business units. Focus on Payroll, working to strict deadlines. Managing other key balance sheet areas such as fixed assets and intercompany accounts, you will be responsible for reconciling month end positions and investigating any differences. The role will involve being a subject matter expert and key point of contact for statutory account and audit queries relating to the areas described above. Working with the Financial Controller and the central finance team to maintain the streamlined finance function of the company. Ideally you will be in the late stages of ACA/ACCA/CIMA or newly qualified with past experience working closely with statutory accounts in the position of Financial Accountant. This role is perfect for someone wanting to develop and gain experience in a well-known, large company with plenty of pathways for progression.
