A Senior Sous Chef role is available at a hotel located in York Role: A high quality hotel is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to assist the Head Chef with the day to day management of the kitchen at the property which serves a busy, Bistro style restaurant.The menu at the restaurant offers modern, eclectic dishes with a focus on seasonal produce with the kitchen allowed to create their own dishes alongside the company wide dishes.As Senior Sous Chef you will be ‘hands on’ in the kitchen cooking daily whilst also assisting with all of the kitchen admin; training and ensuring that hygiene regulations are adhered to consistently. Requirements: A Sous Chef who already has good kitchen management knowledge but is also a confident chef with a solid background working in high quality, fresh food hotel kitchens is needed for this role.The ability to work well within a team whilst also controlling the team and running the department in the Head Chefs absence is essential.
