Overview
Interim Company Accountant | Sheffield | £27,000 - £35,000 The Opportunity Immediate start (9-12-month fixed term contract covering maternity) for a confident and versatile management accountant / company accountant in Sheffield. This is a lovely SME business - great atmosphere, highly approachable and welcoming MD, great track record of success and excellent customer base (currently circa £3m turnover). You will be the key finance person for the business - reporting to the MD. Your role will encompass all aspects of the day to day financial management for the business. You will be comfortable with management accounts preparation, cashflow management and cash forecasting, bank reconciliation, payroll, VAT. You will enjoy working for a forward-thinking and successful business in a modern office environment. You will enjoy being in a collaborative and friendly team (managing 2 people in finance who support with purchase ledger / payroll / transactions). Your role will cover a full maternity leave and ideally starts March / early April 2020 latest. The current process and controls are neat and tidy, and you will enjoy a handover. If you see opportunity to make improvements, then this is welcomed but this is not a firefight - the current reporting and controls are well managed and should not cause you too much of a headache You will be An experienced company accountant with a track record of success in smaller businesses (less than £10m turnover). You will have a hands-on approach and be comfortable with all aspects of the financial reporting requirements for an owner-led business. Able to use Sage Line 50 ideally. Able to commit to a contract and start immediately. AAT Qualified as a minimum ideally.
