Overview
My client are a well-known FMCG brand who are looking for an experienced and confident Accounts Payable Manager to lead their Accounts Payable function. The client work with some amazing clients and have brand new offices in the heart of London. The Accounts Payable Manager role is a replacement position and will report into the Head of Accounting, managing a team of 3. Your day to day responsibilities will include; managing high volume of invoices, ownership of weekly and monthly payment run, VAT returns, reconciliation within the general ledger, supplier statement reconciliations, management of the cash flow and ownership of intercompany transactions. The role has a lot of variety and requires good attention to detail, ability to spot areas for improvement and be able to multi-task and prioritise where necessary. You will need to be a people person and be able to manage supplier demands but also motivate the team to keep up exceptional standard of work. The right candidate for the role will have done a similar role before, ideally managing a similar size team and involved in a high volume environment. Experience within an FMCG or retail environment will be advantageous however not essential. You will need to be firm but fair and have a can do attitude that can build relationships quickly. Due to current events with CVD19, interviews will be done virtually until further notice and look to start candidates end of April/May depending on Government guidelines.
