Overview
A globally focused Managing General Agent that provides underwriting management services to insurers is currently recruiting for a Corporate Accountant to strengthen its London City based finance team. Reporting to the Finance Controller, the successful applicant will provide information for month-end journal entries to Shared Services in US, prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, produce monthly UK GAAP results by legal entity for Directors, support and implement controlled financial operations and accounting processes as business grows in size and complexity, prepare monthly T&E reporting, assist in preparing financial statements of all legal entities and be the first point of contact for annual statutory audits, assist with various regulatory reporting and ensure all relevant entities are compliant, including VAT returns and RMARs, liaise with finance outsource providers to ensure accounting records are up to date plus any other general ad hoc tasks as required. Applicants must be at least part qualified accountants with a minimum of five years' experience gained in a similar role working for an insurance business, possess a high level of proficiency using excel and have strong analytical skills.
