Overview

Our client based near Westminster is seeking a Part time Covenant Consultant. Our client is flexible in regards to what hours they do but ideally 18-21 hours per week. We are looking for a Covenant Consultant on a Consultant level. This role requires excellent analytic and communication skills, a desire to assist and work with clients, along with a drive to deliver high quality work and assist to grow the covenant business. Alongside the client lead you will get involved with developing advice for clients to solve their problems. This will require you to use your technical skills to determine and manage the required analysis underpinning the advice and also use your communication skills to ensure effective delivery of that advice. One of your main tasks will be to ensure the reports for clients are all well structured, clearly written and prepared in time. You will have the opportunity to develop client relationships with the aim of ultimately progressing to lead those relationships. You will be liaising with clients and other advisers regarding the management of our projects, including our data and information requests, as well as follow up queries seeking further clarifications. Main duties and responsibilities Gather information from relevant sources (including requesting information from companies and obtaining publicly available information) as part of employer covenant projects. Use various data sources to obtain relevant information, such as DataStream, Companies House, or equivalent. Analyse financial statements of companies and other information received to assess the current financial position of employer(s), both on a qualitative and quantitative basis. Prepare draft reports and / or presentations of varying degrees of detail, setting out the results of the employer covenant analysis and advice. Manage junior resources and delegate efficiently where and when appropriate, and liaise with colleagues in other teams. Research various industries, sectors or companies, as required for client works and/or business development. Assist with the preparation of briefing notes and other literature regarding the latest legislative developments and case studies relating to the employer covenant Job Requirements High degree of professional integrity. Accounting or similar qualification. Some experience regarding corporate transactions. Some direct consulting experience. Strong numerical and analytical background. Diligent, with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including report writing skills. Ability to work in a team towards targets and deadlines Ability to manage junior resources and support senior people within the team. Ability to identify fee generating opportunities Highly organised with the ability to actively manage projects and workload. Adaptable and reliable, with the ability to adjust priorities and multi-task. Commitment to client service and assisting team members. Ability to work with other professionals, e.g. actuaries and lawyers. Desire to contribute to idea generation and the confidence to express a view.
